A Wonderland Wedding - Win real Cash!

Hi everyone!
I’ve been engaged for a while and with prospects of a job that pays enough for me to actually get married to the man of my dreams has spurred be onto the actual planning stage!
So I’m Launching a contest, in two parts!

Our Wedding will have a ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’ theme to it. I will be Alice and my Fiancé Gareth will be The Mad Hatter. So we’re looking for artists who can create a couple of brilliant original pieces of art for us to use for stationary.

So the contest is:

Part 1) Is to design the front of the wedding invitation.
The image must be square and at least 20cmx20cm. Any bigger is fine as long as its square but any smaller will make it difficult to print nicely.
This image MUST include at least Alice or the Hatter. It can include any number of characters but it has to be easily recognisable as being from Wonderland. It doesn’t have to have a wedding theme at all.

Prize - £20 (that’s about $33 or 22 euros) or a years membership to DA if you’d prefer, plus a copy of the invitation fully printed sent to the winner as a thank you card and one of the party favours from the reception.

I will also print your contact details on the back of the card and recommend you to everyone invited.

Part 2) Is to design the front cover of the guestbook.
The image must either also be square (again at least 20x20cm) or the same size as an A4 piece of paper (so about 21x29cm) depending on the art you do.
This image MUST include an image of the Cheshire Cat. Including other characters as well is fine but the cat must be there (and I’d prefer him to look loveable or cheeky or mischievous rather than scary). Again you don’t have to include any wedding themes into the idea at all.

Prize - £20 again or a years Membership to DA. And your image printed as a thank you card and sent to you to keep and one of the party favours from the reception.

Rules:
- You don’t have to enter both parts of the contest so you can pick which one you’d prefer to do. It is possible to win both prizes if you enter both.
- The images for both parts must be at least 20x20cm in size. Any smaller and it will be rejected due to the resolution not printing well.
- The images must have been created specially for this contest after the launch Date.
- All entries must be submitted to me via Note.
- I have the right to withdraw or change this competition at any time up to the closing Date.
- All forms of visual Art are allowed however any stock used must credit the source correctly or it will be rejected regardless of quality.
- The Images must not include any violent or sexual imagery. You can make the characters look sexy etc but not so much that you wouldn’t be able to show the image to your granny etc.

Start Date: 12th November 2009
End Date: 12th February 2010
That’s three months, and I will consider extending it if needed.

Winners will be announced on 14th February 2010. The Judges will be me and my fiancé.
